The Mori Seiki RL Series features dual side-by-side parallel spindles and dual tool turrets. This machine is designed for completing first and second turning operations or for high production single operation turning processes. Automatic loading and unloading of workpieces may be accomplised with overhead loaders. A workpiece may be loaded to the first spindle, then turned then automatically and externally transferred to the second spindle for second operation turning.

The RL-253 which is the big brother to the RL-203, can handle turning diameters up to 13.3 inch on both spindles and turning lengths of up to 7 inches. A standard chuck diameter of 10 or 12 inch is equipped on both spindles. Main spindle RPM is 3500. And both turrets are equipped with 10 or 12 tools.
Available Models include RL-203 (smaller model with 8" chuck) and RL-253.
