IN JUST ONE OPERATION. Dual
16-Station High Speed Tool
Turrets Dual 16-station
driven tool turrets provide
32-tool stations that feature
high-speed 0.15-second
bi-directional indexing and
shortest path indexing logic
for fast tool changes. Both
16-station tool turrets
features 7-HP driven tool
capability on all 32-tool
stations, providing the
muscle needed to handle cross
and end-working milling. The
4,000-RPM driven tool system
provides a constant cutting
torque of 14.75 ft lbs (20
nm). The BMT tooling system
used on the Cyclone-52 is
much stronger with greater
rigidity and far superior
alignment characteristics
than other tooling system.
Mix and match tooling on any
station for the ultimate in
set-up flexibility.
Pre-Tensioned Double Anchored
Balls Screws - Premium
quality double-net ball
screws are pre-tensioned and
anchored at both ends, and
then 100% inspected for
parallelism to the axis
guideways. The rotational
torque of each ballscrew is
inspected over the entire
length of travel to guarantee
a true smooth non-binding
alignment to ensure maximum
service life and the highest
possible machining accuracy.
The geometric ball bar test
conducted on each machine
checks for servo gain
synchronization, backlash,
lateral play, squareness, and
straightness to ensure your
machine will perform to our
rigid accuracy and
performance standards. Laser
technology is employed to
measure linear and pitch
error accuracy and
repeatability to ensure high
quality standards for machine
performance. Integral
(Built-in) Spindle Motors
Motors with built-in spindles
provide the maximum cutting
torque (There are no belts to
reduce the torque and HP) and
provide the highest rate of
spindle acceleration and
deceleration. A spindle
refrigeration unit is
provided. Both hydraulic
actuation cylinders feature
stroke control position
monitoring for workholding
safety. Full "Y" Axis The
upper tool turret features a
full Y-axis with +/- 35mm
travels for off center
milling and drilling work.
Full "C" Axis on Main and Sub
Spindle The main and the sub
spindle both feature an
independent full "C" axis
with a 0.001 degree
increments for 360,000 radial
positions and full contouring
capability. Axial, radial,
and angled toolholders are
all available. Barfeeder
Interface The machine comes
standard with a barfeeder
interface to make it easy to
add a barfeeder. A variety of
optional 12' barfeeders and
4' automatic barloaders are
available to meet your
production needs. Automatic
Lubrication System The
automatic lubrication system
operates on a timed interval
and monitors low oil level
and will stop the machine at
the end of the current cycle
if a fault condition occurs.
A meter valve regulates oil
flow, which is pumped at
timed intervals through tubes
to distributor orifices on
the linear guideway trucks
and the axis ballscrew nuts.
